TripTych is a prefabricated home that is adaptable over time.

How TripTych works

Homes shouldn’t be one and done. TripTych is designed to evolve with your needs over time. Inspired by a Japanese ‘Bento’ lunchbox within which individual compartments are contained, TripTych dwellings can be added and/or reconfigured as your housing needs change. This adaptability extends beyond the original homeowner, future proofing equity with increased embedded resale value in every TripTych home.

Adaptable configurations

Consisting of three possible interior configurations within one standardized 2400 square foot structure - each 800 square foot ‘module’ is ground-oriented and can be combined into a single family home or configured as individual dwellings. Modules are designed to be easily reconfigured as needs change.

Pre-manufactured offsite

TripTych is pre-manufactured offsite with certified production partners using a rigorously standardized process. Repeatable manufacturing allows us to optimize architectural quality while efficiently reducing cost.

Flat-packed and shipped

TripTych is not a modular manufactured home. We don’t think it makes sense to ship air. TripTych homes are flat-packed and shipped to site to significantly reduce cost.

Assembled on-site

TripTych isn’t built using traditional stick-frame construction methods. Assembly on-site versus traditional construction on-site takes less time and less money. Because we systemized design and manufacturing, less specialized labour is required and certified assembly partners can build TripTych in under 6 months.

Why TripTych makes sense

Adaptable

The TripTych system consists of a series of adaptable modules that can be reconfigured - allowing a single structure to be easily configured to accommodate multiple dwelling units either at the time of initial construction or in the future.

TripTych increases the land yield of standard single family lots by up to 400% with no need to demolish the original structure.

Equitable

TripTych’s prefabricated component-based approach to construction results in modern ground-oriented architectural homes starting at $400 per square foot.

Designed and pre-manufactured as a kit-of-parts that is shipped flat-packed to site, components are assembled and finished by certified builders in under 6 months.

Sustainable

The smart approach to sustainability in housing is to create energy efficient buildings with a high degree of permanence. Permanence is achieved through flexibility and adaptability over time. A 2400 square foot TripTych home can be configured as one, two, or three dwelling units.

When TripTych homes are bought and sold, the adaptability alleviates the need for wasteful demolition and new construction.
